Hey everybody,
This is me.
My name is Zac and I am a Marketing major in the College of Business Administration. I am relatively new to Pitt, having transferred from a community college in the Fall of 2017.
A few things about me:
- This will be my first time leaving the country.
- I love my dog (duh). Her name is Cali; she’s a dalmatian.
- I had a kidney transplant in 2015. Kidneys rock. Love your kidneys.
- I need a new professional photo.
- I think I am the funniest person I know.
On a more serious note, though: I am super excited for this Pitt Plus3: Ireland Transfer trip. If leaving the country for the very first time wasn’t cool enough, to be doing it in such an academically/professionally enriching fashion is something I definitely won’t take for granted. The program itself seemed appealing is so many ways. First, having never left the country, I think the 2-week time span is a perfect first step. Also, to see the ins and outs of a blossoming tech hub that houses some of the most prestigious Fortune 500 companies in the world is something that I wanted to take advantage of. Outside of that, I feel taking this trip with a group of people that are also relatively new to the business school will provide an interesting perspective.
Apart from the business side of things, just immersing myself in a new culture for two weeks is something I look forward to. To see things like the Wicklow Mountains and the Cliffs of Moher will provide some sort of culture shock, I’m sure.
