Hello everyone! I am Dan Peters, a freshman mechanical engineering student here at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, I am not sure what the post-college plan is, but there’s still some time to sort that out. I am also involved with the club volleyball team at Pitt. I am from Flemington, New Jersey, a place I’ve been for as long as I can remember.

My excitement for Plus3 Vietnam came out of a service trip I made to Pine Ridge Reservation,  a place located in the poorest county in the United States. For two weeks, I immersed myself within Lakota culture, and helped to make a difference in some of their lives.  The experience was eye-opening and entirely changed my perspective. I have never left the country before, so I’m eager to engage with a whole new culture to, again, broaden my horizons, and to see how business and engineering practices helped to develop their economy.
