This morning I got up at 5:45 to attend 7am mass at the Duomo in Milan. This was the perfect opportunity, and one of the few times, they allow visitors into the Duomo free of charge. Inside the church, the detail of is incredible and I can see why it took 600 years to complete. After mass, which only lasted 20 minutes, we came back to the hotel to have breakfast. I ate the same thing as yesterday morning, except I had two cappuccinos because I knew I would need the caffeine to cure the jet lag.

Following breakfast, we all took the Metro to the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for our guest lecture on the supply chain of fashion. Here, we heard about all of the options for studying at this school The University offers a variety of classes that are surprisingly accommodating. In the lecture, the differences between fashion and luxury were discussed, as well as sustainability in the fashion industry. I learned that Patagonia is a very sustainable company, which prompts me to buy more of their pieces! The professor was very knowledgable about the fashion supply chain, and I followed along perfectly thanks to MCE (shoutout to Dr. Atkin)!

Then, three Italian students, at the University, took us to their dining hall, where we enjoyed a nice meal that was quite contrasting to the Market experience. Shortly after lunch, we toured around the campus, and even got to look inside a lecture hall (see featured photo). Notice this classroom is quite different from your typical Sennott Square room.

The day was not done however, we then continued unto the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology. We were reunited with our tour guide from yesterday, and she showed us part of the museum, which is massive by the way. After a long day, we returned to the hotel and have the evening to do as we please. We have a big day tomorrow, exploring Como, so I will be getting some much needed rest tonight and hoping the weather does not alter our visit!
