Day 7: Shopping on Saturday

Today was day 7 in Milan! I can’t believe it’s been a week already; time has really flown by here.

To start our day off, we visited 10 Corso Como, which is a really cool and unique store in Milan that someone described as a magazine in the form of a store. They sell a lot of very expensive well-established designer brands as well as the products of new designers. 10 Corso Como also has a small restaurant and room with a neat sculpture. I enjoyed looking around the store and seeing all the unique articles of clothing, shoes, and other products they were selling; however, I was not quite as fond of the high price tags!

After the group spent some time in 10 Corso Como, we began our fashion walking tour of Milan to explore the fashion quarter of Milan. Before we made it to the shopping district, we walked through an area of Milan that used to have canals. They are empty now, but it was still neat to see where they once were.

Next on the walking tour, we passed by many of the main shopping streets in Milan. This is where many of Italy’s most significant designer brands have shore front and other expensive stores set up shop. We passed Gucci, Prada, Armani, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany’s, and many more. I enjoyed getting to walk past all the stores and do some window shopping in the shopping quarter of one of the world’s fashion capitals. I always love getting to see all the window displays and the creative ways in which the stores choose to display their products.

Once the tour was complete, we had the rest of the day free. A group and I decided to grab some pasta and walk around Milan. We then went to Eataly where we looked through all the different food items they had available. Not only did we get some delicious gelato there, but we also got possibly the best strawberries I have ever eaten! It was certainly a tasty way to end the day.
