There’s so much to talk about today I don’t even know if I’m gonna be able to fit it all into 300 words so I’ll just start right away. We first went to Hyundai Motor Industries.
We went into sort of a showroom but more for business partners and engineers, not the general customer. We got to sit in and get the feel of their cars, from the latest SUVs and 4-door sedans to the more luxurious Genesis-branded vehicles. Best part of the firm, though, was when we got to see the assembly line and the technology behind the engineering of these cars. Very eye-opening.
We then went to the BEACH! Haeundae-gu in Busan was one of the nicest-looking beaches I have ever been to. Jordan A., Emma A., Halima M., and myself got us some really good fried chicken at a restaurant by the beach. We went to another beach afterwards and although it was not as beautiful as Haeundae, it had a really cool walking bridge leading up to these rocks where we got some great views of the oceans and some good pictures too.
Right here on this beach we went onto a cable car ride to an island off the coast, not knowing that we bought our way to a dinosaur land. There were little to no signs or advertisements so we did not expect any of this. It was very cool to hike around and take pictures.
Dr. Yun and Dr. Clark took some of us to this restaurant and we got to try LIVE OCTOPUS! It was very different but enjoyable. I liked the tickling weird feeling you get with these little things wiggling about in my mouth. One of these suckers got stuck in my throat at one point (LOL). We took the cable car back, the view was marvelous, and our professors bought us bingsu—a Korean-style shaved ice dessert—also.
That was a great start to Busan.
