Hello! My name is Gabriella Brubach, and I go by Gabby. I am from a suburb of Pittsburgh about 45 minutes away. I am in the Swanson School of Engineering, and my intended major is Bioengineering. I came to the University of Pittsburgh with the intention of studying abroad, so I am extremely excited for this opportunity!
On campus, I am involved in SWE, BMES, and Days for Girls. Outside of the classroom, some of my hobbies include photography, reading, and playing volleyball. I am super excited to bring my camera to Cyprus and photograph the beautiful island!
I chose the Plus3 Cyprus program because of the ample opportunities provided in only a two week program. I was previously rarely exposed to the business aspect of engineering, so the company visits and lectures will be a great learning experience for me to learn more about this field. I intend to travel often after I graduate and apply my Bioengineering degree on a global level, so this study abroad program will allow me to learn about global supply chains and interact with international peers in preparation. Additionally, I chose Cyprus because of its location in the Mediterranean. I hope to immerse myself fully in the culture of Cyprus, and make new memories along the way!
