Hello! My name is Michael Zemaitis and I’m from Pittsburgh, PA. I am a junior Finance major also working towards a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This summer I will be interning at WESCO in the Data Governance sector here in Pittsburgh. On campus, I am a member of Panther Equity, the student-run investment fund. I am also a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity on campus. In my free time, I enjoy fitness, golfing, and spending time with my friends and family. I also love to travel and explore new places.
As a business major here at Pitt, choosing to study abroad in Ireland was a strategic decision for me. Ireland’s reputation as a hub for multinational organizations, its strong economic growth, and its favorable business environment all make it an ideal destination for gaining firsthand experience in international business. I am very excited to learn about Ireland’s business culture, network with local professionals, and gain insights into the country’s business strategies and economic policies. I am eager to explore the business landscape in Dublin and beyond, visit different types of companies, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities of doing business in Ireland. I am hoping to gain experience that will equip me with valuable skills in global business management, cross-cultural communications, and adaptability, and provide me with a unique perspective on international business practices that will benefit me in my future career endeavors.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to experience such an incredible program.
