Pork Knee vs. Pork Knuckle

When traveling to a new place and experiencing a new culture it is easy to feel like a “fish out of water”. While at times I may feel out of place and in the way, every Czech person that I have interacted with has been very kind. The more time I spend exploring the city and trying new things, the more comfortable I feel. Specifically, trying new Czech foods and establishing my own list of favorites has been so fun. Today, I was debating between trying pork knee and pork knuckle for lunch. Eventually, I decided to order the pork knee which was SO delicious. The first two Czech restaurants that we went to also had pork knee on their menu, but I was too hesitant to try it. I am so glad I eventually did! I will admit, when it came to the table, I was struggling with how exactly to eat it. After eventually figuring out how to eat it, I was surprised with how truly delicious it was; I now know why it is such a popular Czech dish.

Other than having an incredible lunch, we went on a company visit, listened to history lecture, and did a scavenger hunt through the city. Today was an eventful day filled with new experiences. As my Prague experience continues, I am falling more in love with the city, culture, and overall atmosphere.
