Trapped in a Bunker???

Prague day 4 !!!!!

The day started off bright and early with a metro ride over to the Bohemian Innovation Center where we heard from two impressive speakers about what their company does and their journey to their current positions. The Bohemian Innovation Center (or SIC for short with the Czech pronunciation) helps educate and improve the businesses in the Bohemian area around Prague. We even got to hear a bit about some of the companies that they have helped get a head start and push their products to the next level.

For lunch we ate at Styl and Interior, a gem nestled within the busy square. After walking down a very long hallway, you are left in a little courtyard garden completely separate from the street you just left. It had to be a quick lunch as we had plans soon after arriving, however, we still managed to grab a yummy lunch of a gorgeous lemonade and crayfish soup (it was delicious for all those wondering). I love the way soups are presented here, all of the ingredients are placed in the bowl, and then they pour the broth overtop in front of you. It 100% makes eating the soup more fun.

After lunch we walked right down the street to the Jalta hotel, where we got to see an actual bunker built during the Cold War in case of a nuclear attack. I would definitely not want to go in there if I was claustrophobic. It was so interesting to see all of the different rooms in the bunker, as well as learn about the bunker’s purpose when not being used to hide from a nuclear explosion. The bunker was used to spy on guests at the hotel (for example American diplomats) and learn of any secrets that may have been spilled by listening in to different rooms.

To end the night we had the most delicious and cheap dinner, we got pizza at an adorable restaurant only 10 minutes away, and it was the cheapest place we have eaten at so far! Only about 10 dollars for our entire meal with a drink! To end the day we got chimney cakes from a little shop, and they were to die for!

This was an absolutely amazing day spent getting closer to everybody on the trip, and I cannot wait for the days to come!

Until tomorrow
