Today we got some time to sleep in which was well needed. We also went to Kunsthalle Praha which is an art gallery. The building was so unique. There were so many different staircases and the floor design was really interesting. There was a really cool room with hammocks and it was Jimi Hendrix themed so I laid in those for a little and relaxed. We also met up with some Pitt alumni at the gallery. We had some dinner and we had some conversations about Pittsburgh and Prague and how we each felt about studying abroad.
Another interesting thing we did was we went to the Charles Bridge and were like “How tall do you think this is?” Being engineers we decided to find out using projectile motion. So we applied what we learned in physics class to a real world scenario. We dropped a rock off the bridge and timed how long it would take to the hit the water. When we found that out we used that time and 9.8m/s^2 (acceleration due to gravity) to get the bridges height. It turned out we were only 50 cm off from guessing the right height. We definitely nerded out here but it was fun.
