Day 11 – Goodbye dinner – Augsburg, Germany

Today marks the last day of the program. By this I mean this was the last day where we had to do some scheduled activity, in this case it was our presentation. My group worked on Forvia (formally known as Feurica until it merged with Hella). The morning started by my group going to the University to do practice and any last minute changes on our presentation. Our presentation was very interesting because I personally find Forvia to be an interesting company and where they are heading in the future to be also equally interesting. Unfortunately, there isn’t much I can say about the company without knowing what line I was crossing if it was secret or not, but I’ll try to sum it up as vague as possible. Forvia is going to be perusing a method of sustainable energy for long distance traveling for large vehicles. This would allow less of a carbon footprint for this industry. It felt bitter sweet finishing this presentation. I felt relived to get it over, but also I felt really proud to do the presentation. I really believed the presentation came extremely well together and really reflected us as student with the progress me made so far.

Later after the presentation, it was the last dinner of the program. The place was called Ratskeller and it was a somewhat traditional Bavarian place. I got another schnitzel for the 4th time now and this was the best schnitzel by far.

It’s honestly really sad that the program ended so fast. I wished that the program was longer because of how much fun I am having in Germany as well as how interesting it was studying the German automobile industry. Today’s blog is really short due to the fact that all I did today was do my presentation. I really look forward to tomorrow, which is our freed ay, since I am visiting people I know in Munich. Can’t wait to write about tomorrow when tomorrow comes!
