Goodbye Cyprus

Today, unfortunately, was the day we departed from Cyprus. As we were taking the bus to the airport, it truly hit me that we were leaving this beautiful Mediterranean country. The bus from Limassol to Laranaca, about two hours, was the first part of a long journey back home to the States. Surprisingly to me, everyone still had energy after the long day we had. When I said everyone, I meant everyone but me; I still slept on the bus to Limassol. When we got to the airport, everyone was sad, but as we waited to check our bags, everyone said as much as they could before we departed. On our flight from Larnaca to Frankfurt, we still had most people with the group. However, Frankfort is where everyone split up. Once we landed in Frankfurt, everyone said their sad goodbyes. Even though people were sad, there was still the fact that we could all still see each other in Pitt during the fall semester.
After leaving Frankfurt, about half of the group went to Chicago. Once we landed in Chicago, we waited in a long customs line. However, a quarter of the way through, a worker told us that we could download an app that would let us skip the customs line, so we did and headed off to our final flight.
After saying goodbye to the people headed to Pittsburgh, I boarded the flight to Philidelphia and safely got to the Philly airport; my parents could pick me up and take me safely home.
