After the layover in Chicago we arrived in Munich and then bussed to Augsburg. Upon our arrival we walked around the city, seeing the Town Hall(pictured) as well as many other shops, restaurants, and sights.
After walking around the city, we checked into our hotel and then headed out to our tour with Sylvia at the Fuggerei. The tour was super insightful as she answered all our questions and taught us about the place very thoroughly. I was surprised to hear the rent is still maintained to 88 cents to this day.
Lastly, our meal after our tour. We were introduced to the Augsburg students which was super nice. Talking to them and learning from them was helpful and insightful for our next two weeks. I got pork schnitzel for the first time and it was a big success and I’m glad to say I’ve already made friends with some of the Augsburg students.
