Today was another long day with three stops- so let’s get into the jam packed day we had!
To start, we drove to Neushwanstein and walked around the town before starting our hike up to the top. There were shops and a few restaurants. I wanted a cold coffee but that is not common here so unfortunately I stuck with hot before our hike. It was uphill but very peaceful. There were people riding their bikes up the hill which is crazy as I could barely keep up walking!
The view was gorgeous and seeing the clear water was breathtaking. The mountains reflected in the water which was so pretty. There were also some ducks that were hanging out by us.
On our way heading up to the castle, we stopped on the bridge to take pictures. It was high up and was at capacity for the amount of people that could be on it for a long time. The castle tour itself was amazing and the tour guide did a great job of explaining everything in detail. Personally, I would not want to live alone in a castle. It seems lonely, especially to have a dance/music hall to yourself! Since the castle itself is not extremely old, seeing the little bits of technology was so cool!
We then went to the small town of Fussen. We walked around for a bit and then got some ice cream. I got my favorite flavors- strawberry and pistachio! We also stopped at a flee market which offered a bunch of purses, clothes, watches, etc.
Lastly, we made our way to the Wieskircle. I was truly stunned by how intricate and beautiful the building was. Statues, carvings, and paintings lined the walls depicting various religious scenes. When we walked in, they were singing a song together. It was so cool to see something like this on farmland. It truly was so amazing to visit and walk about. On my way out, I saw this old Land Rover and had to snap a pic.
