My Favorite Day So Far

To recap today in one word… STUNNING! We started the day off at the Neuschwanstein Castle. This trip is extra special for me, my grandfather has told me about how stunning it was since I was little. He was stationed here in Germany while in the military, so I have heard lots of stories about the country. I did expect this castle to be beautiful, but this far exceeded anything I have ever imagined. It is so much bigger than imagined and the mountains surrounding it are just as magnificent. King Ludwig built this to escape society, yet built an entire entertainment room. this room looks like it would hold grand parties or concerts and he even hand selected a certain wood to be used for the ceiling for better sound quality. All of this just for him to never host any guests and for him to day dream in. This trip amazed me beyond belief and is something I will talk about for a long time.

After the castle, we went to a stunning church in Fussen. Walking into this town, it seemed like a simple, quaint, and traditional German village, however, when you enter the church it is everything but simple. Every time I would look around there was something new to see. The colors, blue shadowing, and gold accents were simply amazing. We even got to catch the mass singing a song at the end of their service.
