Today consisted of a great visit to Landsberg am Lech. The whole day was free time so we got to explore on our own and go visit all the shops and restaurants which was super nice. Every small town here in Germany is stunning and full of new places and adventures. It’s also great how easy it is to get to so many places in Germany. Today we took a train out of one of the main stations and took a 45 minute ride to the town. That’s one thing I really enjoy about Germany- the ease of traveling around the country. It’s a lot different than the US and something I highly appreciate. Particularly, I was surprised by the food and restaurants in Landsberg am Lech. I hard two of my favorite meals so far. For brunch I got a pistachio and ricotta cake with an espresso which was unbelievable, and I followed that by a fish and potato salad dish for lunch. We walked around with one of the program directors, Nikolas, today who we have been hanging out with a lot and is now a good friend. He’s been great the whole trip with showing us around, translating, and just hanging out. Overall, today was one of my favorite days. I really enjoyed the chill, calm day after this busy week. Six days through, I am loving my time here and can’t wait for the week ahead.
