Today was so much fun! We spent the day at the ranch with horses, llamas, sheep, chickens, peacocks, and… mosquitoes. I loved seeing the ranch because there was so much to explore. We took a carriage ride around the ranch which was cool as it gave us a way to see everything that the ranch has to offer. My favorite part was the horses. When we got there, we enjoyed empanadas and some wine. For lunch we had so many different kinds of meat, many of which were new to me. We also danced tango and enjoyed a show. There were so many delicious foods to try right at the ranch. We were also exposed to some of the history surrounding the ranch. I got to take many pictures and see many things and try new foods unique to Argentina. We also watched a gaucho cowboy show on the ranch where they performed many races on horses including rings to which they would distribute to the audience and you either had to kiss the cowboy or the horse. I got to hear a lot of new music during the show which helped immerse me into the culture. I loved how slow paced and enjoyable the ranch was for just taking in the scenery and relaxing. After the 1.5 hour bus ride home from the ranch, we decided to try a cafe before we had dinner at an Italian restaurant which is my new favorite. The food was amazing and they offer a variety of options that were reasonably priced. We walked downtown for a little after dinner and are getting ready for tomorrow where we are heading to the museums to explore more of the history of Argentina. We are also heading to church which I will be experiencing for the first time in Spanish. This past Monday, we went to the cathedral downtown which was stunning so I am looking forward to experiencing the same in Argentina. Happy Mother’s Day!!!! I am so grateful to be on this trip and love and missing you extra today. Enjoy your day and see you soon:)
