Yonsei University

Today was a relaxing but informative day. We spent the entire day at Yonsei University. We arrived early so me and my friends were able to get some much-needed coffee. We didn’t know how long the coffee was going to take so we ordered it as takeout. However, it came out very quickly and we decided to stay. While we were there the worker came out and told us that we could not use the plastic cups in the shop. I was not sure the reason for this but of course, we listened and headed out.

We had a tour of Yonsei, and the campus was beautiful. They had skyscrapers lining the campus as well as perfectly kept greenery. After our tour, we ate at their cafeteria. It was very different from the eatery in terms of its processes and options. After lunch, we had free time. My friends and I used this time to talk to a Yonsei student. He was very kind and we compared everything about our college experiences. We talked about classes, student life, and culture. It was interesting to see all the differences in our experiences. After lunch, we had a lot of engineering presentations. I did not even pretend to have any idea of what they were talking about. I think I’ll just stick to business!

However, at the end of our visit, we were able to visit a biotech startup company. I was able to learn some things about the business side of a startup and was able to understand a lot of stuff about biotechnology. After our visit to Yonsei, I was starving and ready to get out of my business clothes. I changed and went to a dumpling house. It was another great meal. I am going to bed pretty early because I know that we are going to the DMZ tomorrow and need some rest.
