Today was an easy day and a fun one! We traveled to Lansberg, although we were originally planning on going to Ulm. However, it was a great change. We arrived and talked for a few minutes before splitting up in smaller groups to explore the city. I was in a group with two German students, Giulia and Sven, as well as my American friends Hannah and Delaney. We spent the day together and really got closer, which was something I was verhy excited to do on this trip.
We begun by walking the trail by the lake and enjoying the fresh air and beautiful weather. We walked the trail for about 30 minutes before turning around and heading back. We were initially trying to find a bridge to cross, but had no luck. After we got back into town we did some shopping around, but I did not buy anything. while shopping around, I noticed that the Germany shopping cities are very different from those in the US. We often have big, flashy building and loud crowds of people, but here, it is a calm and relaxing vibe. Also, most of the building are older, with their original architecture, which is a great piece of history to see.
After shopping we all stopped to get some lunch and I tried currywurst for the first time. It was delicious!
Overall, today was not the most exciting, but it was a great day for meeting new people 🙂
