Our schedule for the last day was a busy one. We started with taking public transportation to Floating Farm, a company all about sustainability. Their mission is to have a standing farm during times of floods and other disasters. They also sell their goods regularly, for the cows produce 6,000 liters a month. I was expecting the farm to have mostly crops; however, they have mostly livestock with plans to expand and plant crops. Furthermore, everything they do is sustainable. Their solar panels produce 60% of the energy for the farm. The roof of the farm collects rain water. They collect cow urine and filter it to water plants and give to the cows. Manure is collected to make fertilizer that they sell. Literally everything they do is sustainable. After the tour, we got free samples of their milk and cheese, which was delicious. I ended up buying some milk.
We then had some time to go back to the hostel, where I napped and got Subway for lunch. Next, it was time for our last site visit of the trip at RDM. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting because I was only told it was a shipyard. It’s actually a really cool facility owned by the University of Applied Sciences. It’s an abandoned dockyard that was turned into space for students at the University and space for businesses. It’s an incredible concept because the students have space to do their research and projects and also work with the businesses. There are spaces dedicated to automobiles, wood work, chemistry, 3D printing, and so much more. The businesses might also help the students. It’s just a really cool concept.

After RDM, we had our Fairwell Dinner on a fancy boat. It was so good, but sad because it meant it’s time to go. I got a burger and fries.
