So Long, London

How is it already the end the end of our trip? I am so sad to be saying goodbye, but we had a wonderful last day today! We began the day by waking up in our beautiful hotel here in London, and met downstairs in the lobby at 9:20 to head to the Florence Nightingale museum.

The museum was actually so cool! We got to hear a recording of Florence Nightingale’s voice, and we got to see many artifacts from her life, including a perfume box with her initials engraved into the lid!

We walked through the museum, looking at all of the artifacts and information about Florence’s life. I really enjoyed getting to see all about her, and we even teamed up to try and beat Florence in a word game. Apparently, she was able to create 40 words from the letters in the word breathe. We were also able to create 40 words, so we tied her, but we were unsure if we were allowed to reuse letters. We assumed that we could not, but if we had been able to repeat letters, we could’ve absolutely destroyed Florence’s record. They also had nursing uniforms from way back in Florence’s time. Me and Lorelei tried them on, and we looked so good that we just had to take a picture.

After the fourth night museum, we had some free time to explore the city. Me, Vinny, and Malina did some shopping and then we went to a place called pizza express and we got some pizza that was absolutely delicious. I felt very silly ordering my pizza because it was called the American style and that really made me feel so very American. we went back to Zara to do some more shopping where we ran into Lorelei! We walked around some stores, and did a bit more shopping before it was time for us to head back to our lovely hotel to change into our Mamma Mia outfits. we Uber back because we did not want to have to figure out the tube all by ourselves. The first Uber was absolutely fine but when we were leaving the hotel to go back to the theater, our Uber picked up two women who are not us, so we got notification saying we had been picked up, we were quite perplexed. After a quick loop around, the women in the Uber realized that they were in the wrong one, so our Uber driver came back and picked us up. London drivers are quite reckless and I slightly feared for my life on the way to the pizza place that we ate at for dinner, but it all turned out okay. Since I got pizza for lunch, I only got a salad for dinner but it was really good!

After dinner, we got to see Mamma Mia on the West End! It was amazing, and all of the singers were so talented! It was a great way to round out our trip. I can’t believe these two weeks flew by so fast. It was such an amazing experience, and we all got along so well and made so many memories to last us a lifetime! Plus3 UK forever ❤️
