Regensburg!

Today we spent the day in Regensburg! We started with a historical tour of the town. This was a very interesting tour compared to the others that we went on but nonetheless it was interesting and educational. We learned that students can live in the town which was cool to see! We also stumbled across a wedding which was super fun to watch the small ceremony with an old fashion trumpet to seal the deal! After the tour we had free time for lunch and shopping. A group of girls got some healthy salads for lunch and then spent the rest of our time shopping! I bought some more souvenirs for my friends and family. After shopping we stopped for some well deserved gelato, I got the melon flavor and it was delicious! After our free time we board the bus to head to our next location.

After Regensburg, we went to Walhalla. This was such an amazing sight and so surreal to experience. This was a building that looked like it was from ancient Greece. It’s size is unimaginable and it sits on top of a mountain so it looks even more grand. Inside is marble and holds head statues of notable “German” figures. Of course we all pointed out our favorite… Fugger! We took a group picture here and then that concluded our program schedule for the trip. It was a side ride back to the hotel but we are so excited for what we have planned tomorrow!
