Augsburg Day 11 – See You Later

Today I woke up bright and early to go on a run as an attempt to get nerves out before my presentation. After we all had breakfast we headed over to campus.

I admired the German students ability to present so fluidly on top of English being their second language. They hold a level of formality and poise that is to be recognized and something I hope to embody in the future with presenting and in business endeavors in general. The American students also exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed cheering everyone on as I knew they were nervous but didn’t show it! It is interesting to see my classmates in a professional light after getting to know them personally. As a whole the morning encouraged me to improve my public speaking skills in a professional setting.

After our morning of presentations we strolled around campus. We got coffee and ice cream and debriefed about the day. I let everyone know they did a great job despite their nerves.

After that night we had our farewell dinner. We talked about our time in Germany and how much fun we had living the life of an Augsburg student. I individually thanked the German students who I felt had the biggest impact on me and encouraged them to stay in contact. I felt their outlooks and ideals on life as a whole is something that will stick with me forever. Not a goodbye but a see you later is what I told myself and others to relieve emotions.
