Preparing for Cyprus : Introducing Me!

Hi, my name is Nevada Boyer, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a BSBA in Marketing and Business Analytics. Originally, I am from New Bethlehem, PA, a small rural town about an hour north of Pittsburgh. As someone who was raised in a town with under 3,000 people, it has always been a passion of mine to travel as much as possible. However, usually in my free time, you can catch me with my friends and family watching a Pittsburgh Pirates game or eating at local restaurant. Academically, I am involved in both American Marketing Association and the Music Entertainment and Business Association on their Public Relations committees. In AMA, I am on e-board serving as the Vice President of Public Relations for the 2025-2026 academic year. Currently, I am also employed on campus at the Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement center. There we foster connections with Pitt alumni and process university donations. Yet, that employment isn’t my long-term life goal. In my professional career, I wish to obtain a position in either the sports or hospitality industry as a marketing professional or data analyst.

The program I chose was Plus 3 Cyprus for Summer of 2025. Initially, I was drawn to Cyprus because it is a beautiful island with great food in the Mediterranean. However, as I researched the location, I fell in love with the idea of learning about Supply Chain Management. Prior to college, I did not realize that supply chain management was such an important topic. Now, I know that almost every corporation you see is a supply chain, and it is integral to understand how to manage them. This Plus 3 experience will aid me in my professional development immensely. It will allow me to obtain knowledge of important business practices on an international scale and connect me with various different professionals and businesses in Cyprus. Plus 3 Cyprus will also help me personally, by fulfilling my lifelong passion to travel and connecting me to students in my freshman class. Overall, I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I cannot wait to see what life-long relationships and opportunities this experience will grant me!
