Introduction
Hi! My name is Kacper Nieradka, and I am a freshman mechanical engineering major at the Swanson School of Engineering. I am a New Jersey native who loves to eat delicious bagels with extra cream cheese. Some of my favorite things to do are play volleyball, lift weights at the gym, ski in the winter, and hike the trails around my house. If I had to describe myself with one word, it would be adventurous. I love trying new things, and I see Korea as a great opportunity not only to expand my horizons, but also to learn new things in a culture I’ve never experienced.
Why Korea?
Korea was my top choice going into Plus3, and I am very lucky to be given the opportunity I’ve wanted. Going to Asia was never really on my bucket list. I am extremely lucky to have always traveled as I grew up. Whether it be the vast expanse of the American West or the extroverted culture of Southern Europe, the Asian Continent was a place largely ignored by my family and me. Now that I have the chance, I can’t wait to see how it compares to other places around the globe. I am intrigued to try all the intense flavors Korean culture has to offer, and I will definitely take a chance to explore the natural wonders hidden outside the city. I also acknowledge the career aspects of traveling to Korea, also known as the tech center of the world. This will give me valuable insight if I apply myself, and I know will be able to make something out of it in the future. Thank you, Plus3, I can’t wait to see what’s in store!
