Hey y’all! My name is Hayah Kazi, and I am from Austin, TX. I am currently pursuing a double degree in Business Analytics and Media & Professional Communications, with minors in Arabic and Applied Statistics. I’ve always loved combining creativity with data, whether it’s through photography, writing, or analyzing trends to tell a story. I consider myself a curious and globally minded individual with a strong passion for exploring new cultures, ideas, and systems. I’ve been fortunate to travel to many different parts of the world, which has helped me develop adaptability, open-mindedness, and strong communication skills. These experiences have shaped both my personal and academic interests, fueling my desire to understand how different societies operate and how innovation and strategy intersect in global business environments.
Professionally, I’ve applied my creative and analytical skills through sports photography, currently working with the Pitt Panthers baseball team. This role has taught me a lot about branding, audience engagement, and aligning content strategy with an organization’s image. I also serve as the Secretary of Operations for Corporate Connections, a student-led organization that bridges the gap between students and Pittsburgh’s corporate world through podcasts, site visits, and speaker events. In this role, I’ve learned to delegate, collaborate, and lead with intention. I am hoping to apply these skills in my study-abroad experience as well as extend and improve them during my time in South Korea
I chose the Plus3 South Korea program because I have a great interest in streamlining operations through technology, especially in a place like South Korea, where technology is so deeply integrated into everyday life. It ties in perfectly with my major, and I’m excited to see firsthand how innovation and strategy come together in a global business setting. Personally, I can’t wait to explore Korean culture, meet new people, and try all of the incredible food! I’m hoping this experience helps me grow both professionally and personally, and gives me a more global perspective on the work I want to do in the future.
