I’m already very impressed with Buenos Aires. Although we’ve only just begun our experience, I’ve seen several neighborhoods on the way to the hotel. What surprised me most was how densely packed the neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city are—the houses are right on top of each other, and there are so many of them.
Our first stop was the IES Abroad office, where we were welcomed with lunch on a rooftop deck overlooking the city. The view was incredible, and the staff treated us to a delicious meal featuring several Argentine specialties. I especially enjoyed the steak and chorizo.
So far, it’s been a great start. I’m enjoying the process of adjusting to a new culture and environment, and I’m really looking forward to everything that’s ahead.
