I can never enjoy international flights when there were crying babies around you. But when I stared outside the bus window from Munich airport to our stay in Augsburg, the scene aside the highway turned my mind so peaceful. the streets are generally quiet with minimum noise, and there is a lot of green like trees, lawn, vines and ivy that climb up the house. I guess one of the reasons is that Augsburg only has a population of 300,000, but still the third biggest city in Bavaria state. So, the city is not crowded at all.
We had a simple city tour for Augsburg after we arrived. we went to the Rathausplatz area , the town hall in German to have a view of historical Germany architecture. We got to know Jakob Fugger, who was the richest guy in the world in 1400s, like Elon Mask at that time. We also visited the neighborhood Fuggerei, where is the first social housing funded by Fugger in history. Even till now, the house only costs 0.88 euros per year. By the recommendation of German students, we went to Sonnen deck, a beach styled bar on the rooftop of a parking lot. It is really surprising for me, but I guess this is how Germans enjoy their life.
