Cars, Cruises, and Cuisine

Our day started with a long bus ride to the Hyundai factory where we got a full behind the scenes tour of the production process. The facility is huge and has many workers. We were first greeted and sat to listen to a company representative talk to us about Hyundai. We were then led to start walking through the factory. We progressed through many parts of the building such as various parts of the production and assembly line. We got to see how the rolls of metal come delivered to the company, how they are stamped and cut into shapes, and how they are welded and assembled into vehicles. This site visit was super informative and interesting. We then took the bus to a port on the Han River where we ate lunch and took a short cruise! We got on the boat and were told that we can feed the seagulls fish snacks. So we of course had to buy the snack and feed the birds which was a fun experience. The views from the boat were awesome, too. After the Han River Cruise, we left to go back to the hotel where we were released for free time. My friends Maddox and Riya, and I wanted to go to the Namsan Tower for dinner as we were told it has great views. It was a bit difficult to figure out how to make a reservation, but we figured it out. We then departed our hotel around 5:30pm to go to the tower for our 7:00pm reservations. We walked about 10 minutes and then boarded a bus that took us right to the bottom of the hill leading up to the tower, as we then transferred to another bus that took us up the hill. Once we got up, the views were breathtaking. We made sure to get an abundance of pictures, then we headed up to the restaurant. The place we chose was Korean cuisine and it was a set menu. The star of the meal was the Korean Beef Sirloin which was cooked tableside and served with a few sauces. The meal was by far my favorite of the trip so far and the views were incredible. We left dinner and rode the cable car back down to the ground and took a bus ride back to the hotel. What a great day!
