Today was mainly a travel day as we left Nicosia and hit the road to Limassol. We have arrived in the port city that has a wonderful sea. As we traveled to Limassol we stopped at Kourion. This ancient sit had a breathtaking view of the sea and the amphitheater was really cool. When you stand in the middle of the amphitheater you can hear the echo microphone effect. Georgia, our tour guide, said that there were probably plays and drama that took place but no fights with animals.
Then after lunch, we got a tour of the Limassol Castle that was very cool to look at and also temperature wise. The dark interior allowed for it to be cold inside. After we walked up stairs, and more stairs, and more stairs, we finally reached the top. The view from the top was amazing to take in. You could see the whole sea line. The historic architecture was of the medieval style. This was interesting to see as it was reflective of the time period that it was inhabited and built. So far I am loving the city, and I am excited to go in the sea.
