The Dojo (Day 5)

=

To start off my morning, I worked out in the hotel gym with the extra time we had before departing for the day’s itinerary. The first stop was at a taekwondo dojo, where we learned the philosophy of taekwondo and some of the techniques that makes their fighters so quick and strong. We got to take many cool pictures and funny videos to wrap up the lesson.

To cool down from our taekwondo training, we stopped at an All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ restaurant to chow down on some delicious food. For such a reasonable price, we were able to get a ton of pork belly, not stopping once to take a break as it was so good. After taking advantage of that opportunity, we entered the city hall which was a beautiful project built by a smart Korean Architect. I was in awe at the building’s engineered masterpiece with such a unique look with clean materials and shape to the building. Throughout the tour, we learned a lot about the history of Seoul as a nation and its preceding leaders.

At the end of the tour, I had some time to try out the robot cafe where I ordered a mocha latte which tasted amazing. It was cool to see the singular robot arm running the entire stand! After the tour of the city hall, we spent some time in the lawn where a bunch of stands were set up with mini games and small healthcare prizes. To end off the day, myself and few others spent the rest of the night shopping in Myeongdong. I was able to find cool trinkets and jewelry for good prices to bring home for myself and as gifts to others. Also, I had to ask a Korean woman to help me find skin care for my girlfriend, mother, and sister!
