Today we got to sleep in a little bit which was most needed. Especially since the plan was to take a taekwondo class. I have had no prior experience with taekwondo. I believe I took a karate class when I was little but I don’t remember it much. I love trying new things though so I was super excited. After a long terrible bus ride we arrived. We started by putting on our taekwondo uniform. The uniforms were comfy and I thought they looked awesome. To bad we could not keep them as a souvenir. The class started with different breathing exercises and striking forms. The instructor was super energetic and passionate about it. This made the experience so much better. Then we did various exercises of striking and kicking. I put my full effort into these and started sweating a bit. When watching videos it does not look tiring but it most definitely is. Our instructor ended our class talking about the importance of taekwondo and then we headed to lunch.
Our tour guide Ginny specifically chose the restaurant for us today. It was an all you can eat Korean BQQ. The food was so good. The meat was thick pieces of pork belly. It came with lettuce wraps, kimchi, and sauces. My table just kept eating and eating. Whenever our waiter saw we were out of meat he would get us more. This cycle went on forever and I ate more than I ever have in my life. The best way to eat it was combining everything. Making a lettuce wrap with the sauces and pork belly was delicious. The rule is you have to eat the whole wrap in one mouthful. It’s a lot of food but I was able to get it down. The rest of the day we spent walking around city hall. The building was very cool but there was nothing that blew my mind. It was relaxing great day 5 in Seoul.
