Today, we took a business trip to Yonsei University. It is a top-three university in Korea and incredibly hard to get into. The campus is huge and beautiful, and the highlight is Underwood Memorial Hall. These buildings were super old and cool-looking. Ivey went up each part of the building. In front of it was a statue and a beautiful garden. There was so much history condensed into this small section. After we toured some of the campus, we went to get lunch in the cafeteria. The system was that you got a ticket, and you went up to a food stall and handed it to them. In return, you get a huge tray of the food you ordered. The food was surprisingly good. I had noodle soup with ramen and pork in it. It was very soothing and hearty. We spent most of the rest of the day learning about the engineering school and even going into their labs. As a business major, I felt very out of place, but it was interesting.
After Yongsei, it was time for dinner. Dinner was on our own, so we had to think long and hard about what we wanted. Me and a couple of the guys all agreed that we needed a small break from Korean food. So, what better place is there to go than Outback Steakhouse? When we walked in, it was immediately different. It was way more bougie than the U.S. locations. I ordered a steak, pasta, soup, and a brownie. I can’t express how much better it was than any other Outback I have been to. The biggest surprise was how good the pasta was. It was genuinely of very good quality. I would have never guessed this would be one of my favorite meals so far. Day 6 ended on a very high note with Outback Steakhouse.
