Good morning! I woke up around 8:15 to shower and head to breakfast where I had eggs, pho, rice, and more. Our group met at the lobby around 9:30 to head to Yonsei University. We had to take two buses and a subway ride to get there. It then started to rain on and off. Our group walked around the campus and went to the cafeteria for lunch to start the day. I tried a noodle soup dish and it was good. I also ordered pork and fried dumplings which were delicious. We then went to their student center where we met our tour guide- she was a first year business student too! She toured us around the university and answered all of our questions. We saw the main monument of campus and learned that the base of the statue had been there for years since the Korean war, still with bullet holes. The campus had a lot of green spaces which was nice. We also saw the business school, then it proceeded to rain much harder. We walked back to the student center where we ended our tour and had a small Q&A session. We got to look around the school store and we got some ice cream. Then, our group met up with a Pitt alumni who has a lab at Yonsei University. We met with her, as well as some of her students, and we heard about the tests they perform at the lab. There was time for a Q&A session with the students which was interesting, too. One semester at Yonsei only costs around $3,000! The lab tour was informational and interesting. After Yonsei, we proceeded back to the hotel in the rain. We freshened up and I grabbed food from a nearby restaurant with friends. We had a chill night in and ate our food. Overall, it was a very informational (and rainy) day.
