Today was a day to sleep in as we planned to meet in the lobby at noon for our departure to Seoul tower. We took the bus to the tower and up the hill arriving at the top and getting a chance to admire the view. During our free time I went to souvenir shops, took pictures of the tower and had fried chicken for lunch. The view was amazing and you could see almost all of Seoul depending on where you were standing.
After visiting Seoul tower we walked down the hill to take the bus to the Royal Palace Museum where we went on a quick tour and saw some of the clothing the queen used to wear and cars the more recent royal family used to drive.
After our quick stop to the museum we headed to our scheduled cooking class. The place we went had some of their food in famous shows such as Squid Games. We first watched a demonstration of how to make Bibimbap and then tried it on our own. We first had to cut vegetables such as onions and carrots. Then we seasoned the meat and cooked the vegetables. Next, we cooked the egg sunny side up and the meat and mushrooms last. We put it all together over a bowl of rice. I think my bowl turned out looking pretty good and tasted even better. I even got a certificate with my name in Korean at the end of the class so that I would always remember learning to make Bibimbap for the first time. I am sure to share the recipe with my family so that I can try to make it again when I am home.
Today was an exciting day with great views and amazing food. Tomorrow I am looking forward to visiting Camp Casey.
