Today was a day full of nature, and I really enjoyed it. We had a tour guide all day, so we got to learn about a lot of different things about the Basque region. We started off the day with a beautiful view, where we hiked up to an island seen in game of thrones. This was so cool, and one of the best views I have had in my life. The hike was not easy, but it was definitely worth it to make it across and up the hill. The hills were very steep, as they made cardiac hill look like a piece of cake. Overall, this was one of my favorite activities that we did.
In addition, we got to see the beach town of Mundaka, where we got lunch. These were probably the best pinxtos I had the entire trip, and all the seafood was so fresh. Overall it was a delicious lunch, with gelato after.
After this, we took a trip to the painted forest. This was another long walk, and it was yet again worth it. We had to deal with a slight drizzle, however it was still amazing to see. The way that where you were standing formed paintings was so cool. This was amazing, and a very serene experience in the woods (so serene that my roommate and I lost track of time!). I’ve never seen anything like this, and I appreciated it a lot.
