The day started off with breakfast and getting ready for the day. We had to wear business causal due to the company visit we had later in the day. We started off at the Oil Park Culture Park, during the 70s when there was oil shortage, Korea built these oil tanks to storage and preserve the oil. However, as Korea became more sustainable, they transformed these oil tanks into an into decorative building that you can enter and look around. Unfortunately, we were not able to enter due to a different owner or something, which was disappointing so our visit to the culture park ended shortly. After taking the subway to get some lunch, a few of us found a sushi place, this was probably the best sushi I have ever had.
After we had sushi, we found a donut shop that had amazing donuts. I got a blueberry cheesecake donut; it was also the best donut I think I have ever had. We made our way to Arisu Ttukdo Water Purification Center. One of the people on the tours was Dr. Yun’s college friends. We learned about the process of purification for their water. Compared to legal standards their water was way below the legal standards, meaning it is healthy to drink. Their company delivers water to third world countries like Cambodia, who have a lack to clean drinking water which was nice to hear that they do this.
After we finished touring the plant we went to the museum where we saw a historical water treatment method. This method used sand and gravel and used the helpful bacteria to purify the water.
After we finished in the museum, we went back to the hotel and got ready to go out for the evening.
