Day 12: Slowing Down and Saying Goodbye

After a packed two weeks, today was all about slowing down. A lot of people took the chance to travel to Austria, and while I almost went too, I decided to just stay in Augsburg and chill — especially since I’ll still be in Europe for another week and a half.

I slept in, grabbed a late breakfast, and then did something extremely glamorous: laundry. Somehow, that turned out to be more frustrating than it should’ve been — between the machines and figuring things out, it definitely tested my patience a bit. But once that was behind me, the day picked up.

I got to hang out with two of the German students one last time. We played some pool, talked, and just relaxed for a bit before saying goodbye. That part hit a little harder than I expected — it’s crazy how fast you can build connections, and I’m really going to miss them.

To close things out, I had a final dinner with a few of the guys from the trip. Great food, good laughs, and the kind of vibe that made me sit back and appreciate everything this experience has been. It’s hard to believe it’s over, but I couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap it up.
