Day 9: A View I’ll Never Forget

With just a few days left on the trip, today was one of those bittersweet moments where you realize how fast everything is going. We started the day with a visit to Hoerbiger, and it definitely stood out compared to the other companies we’ve seen so far. The presentations were on the longer side, but honestly, I found them interesting. I always like learning about things I’ve never seen before, and the level of detail that goes into producing those tiny engine parts was surprising — especially how many steps were involved in making something that looks so simple.

The second half of the day took a major turn — straight up a mountain. We went to Oberammergau and took a cable car to the summit. I won’t lie… I was holding onto the railing for dear life on the way up. Every little wobble had me gripping tighter. But once we got to the top? Completely worth it. The view was unreal — the Alps were right in front of us, sunlight hitting the peaks just right. It’s the kind of moment you can’t fully capture in pictures, even though we all definitely tried.

With the trip winding down, I’m definitely starting to feel that mix of emotions. I’m excited for what’s ahead, but I’m going to miss this. Days like today — with views like that — don’t come around often.
