The past 12 days have felt like a blip and an eternity at the same time. And I think that feeling is a testament to how many memories were made and how fun this experience was. The German students when above and beyond to connect with us and really wanted to become our friends. I have to give a specific shoutout to Joni for putting together a lot of the trip logistics as well as being a great guy to hang out with.
So that’s why when I was on the bus to the airport at 6 in the morning, I felt satisfied with my time spent in Germany. The fast pace that we went at was perfect for the two-ish week format — any more would’ve been exhausting. Not only was this a great standalone experience, but it also makes me want to do a school program over a longer period of time. Hopefully that will materialize in the future.
