Day 13 – Hello Munich (again)

I took the train from Augsburg to Munich this morning. It was a quick and easy ride, just under an hour, and gave me some time to relax before jumping into a busy day. The train was on time and pretty quiet, which made the whole trip smooth.

Our walk from the station to the hotel was around thirty minutes, which went faster than expected. The hotel was on the eastern side of the city, a little removed from the city center, which was fine by me. One cool thing I noticed was that the view from our window was the grounds for Oktoberfest, what a massive space!

Later in the afternoon, I checked out a museum and then walked through the Englischer Garten. I didn’t expect to see people surfing in the middle of the city, but there they were on the Eisbach. Before heading back, I sat down at a beer garden for some food and a drink. It was a chill way to end the day. The train ride home was quiet, and I was definitely tired, but it was a good kind of tired. Munich was worth the trip.
