Hoerbiger was our most boring factory tour/presentation day by a pretty wide margin. They make chips that provide precise timing and cogs for machine parts and cars. It was pretty uninteresting, and the lecture after was very long and spoke almost entirely about the technical side of things (manufacturing, automation, robotics) and the business side of things very little.
The SECOND half of the day, though, was AWESOME. we went to a town called Oberammergau, which is in southern germany, right near the alps. We took an “alpine coaster” (cable car) up to the peak of a mountain, which was beautiful and absolutely one of the highlights of the trip. The experience was unforgettable and the view was one of the best i’ve ever experienced
