Guernica – Day 2 (10)

on

Today we went on two amazing hikes and saw some beautiful nature. The first hike we took a bus to with our tour guide for the day. We went to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. This was the most spectacular view I had ever seen. The hike was difficult due to the incline of the mountain and the steps up to the mountain house (pictured) but we were determined to see the view. After hiking there and back we were all tired so we stopped in a nearby town for gelato and food.

Our day wasn’t done yet, as next we went to the Painted Forest, which required another hike to reach. This was a unique art project that required you to stand in different spots of the forest to see different painted images. This was a very cool concept and I definitely think the hike was worth it.
