Hello, my name is Jonathan Lam, and I am a freshman in the Swanson School of Engineering pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. I am interested in applying engineering to real-world problems, particularly within the healthcare field. Academically, I hope to gain more hands-on experience beyond the classroom, and professionally, I aspire to develop technologies that improve efficiency, accessibility, and affordability in the U.S. healthcare system.
I chose the Plus3 program in Spain because it provides the opportunity to explore a different healthcare system and gain a broader, global perspective. I believe this experience will help me become more adaptable and open-minded when approaching complex challenges. By learning how healthcare operates in Spain, I hope to gain insights that can contribute to improving systems in the United States while also supporting my academic and professional growth.
