Hi everyone! My name is Jake Goldfine, and I’m from Boston, Massachusetts. I’m planning on studying finance and accounting. Outside of academics, I really enjoy sports, especially soccer and tennis, and I also love to golf. Being from Boston, I’m a big fan of all the Boston sports teams. On campus, I’m involved in Corporate Connections at Pitt Business club where I am on the marketing committee and a social fraternity, SAE. I also work with the soccer team as a student manager. I’m interested in pursuing a career in business, potentially in finance.
I chose the Plus3 Vietnam program because I’m interested in learning more about how global business operates outside of the United States, especially in fast-growing economies. Vietnam’s role in manufacturing and international trade makes it a really cool and exciting place to study their specific business strategy. Personally, I’m looking forward to experiencing a new culture and stepping outside my comfort zone. By the end of the experience, I want to have a deeper understanding of how businesses operate in different parts of the world.
