Hi, my name is Christopher McCay and I am a Finance and Accounting major from Pittsburgh, PA, dedicated to understanding the mechanics of the global market. On campus, I stay active in the business community through Delta Sigma Pi and Theta Chi, while pursuing my personal interests in club golf, fishing, and working out. Professionally, I am focused on bridging the gap between financial analysis and real-world impact. By combining my academic background with the leadership skills I’ve gained through my fraternity and social involvements, I aim to build a career that understands both the numbers and the people behind a successful business. I am constantly looking for ways to apply my classroom knowledge to complex, international scenarios that require both critical thinking and cultural empathy.
I chose the Plus3 Vietnam program to gain a broader perspective on the global economy and witness firsthand how international business is conducted in a fast-paced, developing environment. I am particularly interested in the program’s focus on sustainability, as I believe environmental responsibility is vital to the future of modern finance and long-term economic stability. Personally and academically, I hope to step outside my comfort zone to understand different cultural approaches to industry and management. My goal is to return with a more sophisticated understanding of global supply chains and trade, gaining insights into Vietnam’s rapid industrial growth that go beyond what a textbook can provide. I believe this immersive experience will be a defining chapter in my college career, helping me develop a truly global mindset for my future professional life.
