Hello, my name is Maxwell Dreisbach and I’m a first year student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am majoring in Business Analytics and plan to eventually double major in either Finance or Supply Chain Management. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing basketball at the rec, hanging out with friends, and playing video games. I also like to travel, and have gone to Puerto Rico and Costa Rica in the past few years.
I chose the Plus3 Vietnam program because of my strong interest in manufacturing, supply chains, and emerging markets, and I wanted to see these concepts in real time. Vietnam has rapidly become one of the most important manufacturing and exporting hubs, which makes it the perfect place to study and dive deeper into. Personally, I hope to meet many new people, build lasting connections with my peers, and just take in the differences in culture. My grandpa served as a soldier in the Vietnam War, so visiting the country holds a deeper meaning to me than just academics.
