One thing from today that I will always remember is seeing the large-scale efforts directed to completing the Ellinikon. I find it interesting how much planning has brought the concept to light, highlighted in our tour of the Ellinikon Experience Center. The added sustainable implications, such as tall residential buildings, a large green park, and renewable energy sources, make the area even more attractive. Seeing the construction over the retired airport was captivating, as it will bring life back to the Riviera and repurpose the high-value land. It was inspiring to see the intricate plans beginning to come to fruition. Since I am an aspiring civil engineer, the construction coordination displayed was inspiring to watch. I may enter the construction industry and have to help with projects of similar complexity.
