Our visit with Lambda impacted my work as a future engineer because, by driving through the construction site and taking to the project manager, I was able to get insight into what they do on a construction site, as well as some of the behind the scenes work that goes into it. Things like BIM and GIS really stood out to me. I found it fascinating how he was able to see so many features and situations of the build before they were actually built. Seeing all of this will impact my future work because now I will be more aware of everything that goes into builds and construction sites. As an engineer, I can better prepare for all parts of the process and act accordingly.
