Ancient Greece and its importance thousands of years ago still impact culture and even my career today. In ancient Greece, they put a large amount of value on their buildings, sculptures, and technology. It directly impacted their culture, religion, and day-to-day living. The advancements that they made shaped their culture, how they worshipped their gods, and how they represented and conveyed their religion. These advancements wouldn’t have been possible without the engineers of that time. This philosophy still applies today. Engineers and the advancements they make determine how our society works. Without the engineers of that time, society would be at a standstill. Shifts in culture and religion wouldn’t happen, and we wouldn’t have the ability to explore the other things in life, like religion. Ancient Greece showed us that engineers are important to society, and therefore shaped my future and career.
